Parking Brake
The parking brake is the lever handle located to the right of the driver’s seat.
To engage the parking brake, pull the lever up toward yourself until it
ratchets tight. To disengage, pull up slightly on the handle and push the
button on the end. This will allow the handle to be lowered which releases
the parking brake. It may be necessary to adjust the parking brake tension
over time. See the vehicle service manual if parking brake adjustment is
needed.
*Note:
The parking brake needs to be released to drive the vehicle. This is done for safety
reasons. When the park brake is engaged, a parking brake symbol will be illuminated in the
middle left location of the digital dash display. (See section
4.1.8 Parking Brake Indicator
for
indicator function details)
When parking the vehicle, always set the parking brake to prevent rolling.
