In accordance with the European standard for manufacturing water softeners EN 14743, it is recommended
that you perform annual maintenance for your water softener.
This work must be performed by the manufacturer or by an authorized installer.
It is up to the client/user to ensure that he makes an appointment once a year to have his device serviced.
12. MAINTENANCE
On the date for activating the alarm based on the contract that you have taken, the display will show CALL by flashing. The
time (or volume) is no longer displayed and the alarm is reset by a Durlem technician.
Either after-sales service will call you before the anniversary date of the contract or you may call our service to set an ap-
pointment at your convenience.
Durlem offers a three-year warranty on all parts, labour and travel included, subject to the terms of the warranty.
The warranty covers the softener against defects in construction and operation as from the date of acquisition, as shown on
the invoice, when the softener is used within the bounds of normal use and installed in accordance with the instructions in
the manual. It does not apply where there is abnormal use of the softener, and in case of the following :
1.
Using non-potable water ;
2.
Change in the characteristics of water or facilities upstream of the unit ;
3.
Operating pressure above 6 bar ;
4.
Not connecting a pressure-reducing valve in good working order, upstream of the softener, set at a pressure between
2 and 6 bar ;
5.
Using poor-quality (sodium chloride) regenerating agent and/or not in tablet form ;
6.
Lack of regular maintenance, storage / installation not in accordance with the instructions ;
7.
Damage caused by : freezing, hot water backwash, a backflow of pressure from the installation ;
8.
Damage caused by impacts, bad electrical connections, fire, floods, etc ;
9.
Dégâts résultant de chocs, mauvais raccordement électrique, incendie, inondations, etc ;
10.
Stoppages or malfunctions resulting from power grid failure or outage ;
11.
Injection of non-licensed materials upstream of the softener ;
12.
Bad sewer connection.
13.
Installation not in conformity with the installation diagram;
14.
A call-out charge shall apply for any problems that are not inherent to the water softener itself
(a lack of salt, mishandling, incorrect installation).
This list is for information only and is non-exhaustive.
Durlem shall not be held liable for any over-consumption of water. As such, users are advised to regularly check their water
consumption.
