14 Thread trim

14.1 Setting the height of the knives, position of the fixed knife

Proper setting

The height between the moving knife (1) and the hook is (A) = 0.2 mm.

The fixed knife (8) should be under the level of the moving knife (1) by
the value (B) = 0.3 to 0.5 mm.

The knives should touch one another at the distance (C) = 1 to 2 mm.

Loosen the screws (3), (4), (5) and move the holder (2) down.

Tighten slightly the screw (4) which fits the surface of the thread trim shaft.

Tighten the feed screw (3) until the instruction 1 is complied with.

Tighten the screw (4) and then the screw (5) as well.

WARNING

Risk of injury from sharp or moving parts!

Cutting and crushing possible.

Switch off the machine before setting the thread
trim.
