Safety device for reverse gear engagement
As mentioned in the 'INSTRUMENTS AND CONTROLS' section, the walking lractor is equipped
with a safety device (9) that prevents the reverse gearlrom being engaged when the PTO is
engaged (Fig.1 1 ).
Ths PTO musttherefore be disengaged belore the reverse gear can be engaged.
As previously mentioned, the safety device (9) has two positions (see sticker on the PTO casing).
1) Normal walking tractor position (Fig 1 1).
2) Position for walking tractor with lrontal implement (Fig.12).
When the rotary hoe is hitched to the walking tractor, make sure that the lever of lhe satety device
(9) is in the "NORMAL WALKING TRAC- TOR' position. Failing this, pin (P) (Fig. 12) will preventlhe
rotary hoe from completely meshing in the quick coupling of the PTO.
