6.OPERATION

Refer to the engine's use and maintenance manual for comprehensive information on running in 

the engine.

 

WARNING

- The walking tractor has a lever (motorstop) that should always be lowered along with the clutch 

lever which should be pulled upwards in order to start the engine.

- Never ever tamper with the safety device (motorstop) for any reason whatsoever.

- Never start the engine unless this safety device is perlectly efficient.

- The walking tractor and the implements to which it is hitched must only be used by qualified 

persons.

- Never leave the engine running in an enclosed space unless there is an efflective system for 

disposing of ihe exhaust gases.

- Never leave the machine unattended with the enginerunning.

- Always make sure that there is no one working around the machine before you start the engine.

1) Make sure that all control levers are in neutral.

2) Use the starter to make a cold start (cosult the engine Operation and Maintenance manual).

3) Depress the motorstop lever (Fig.6)

4) Pull the clutch lever (3) and lock it in place with device (A) so that the lever (4) (motorstop) 

remains in the lowered position (Fig.6)

5) Move the accelerator lever (7) to appoximately half ol its travel (Fig.6)

6) Grip the pull-start handle and pull sharply.

Accompany the handle back in place until lhe cord has fully rewound, once the engine has started.

7) Move the acceleralor lever (7) to idling position (Fig.6).

 

WARNING

After starting, never leave the machine for too long with the clutch level (3) pulled. Th is could 

damage the clutch.
