in elektrischen Anlagen kann durch Lichtbogeneinwirkung
Zersetzungsprodukte enthalten:
gasförmige Schwefelfluoride, u. Schwefeloxydfluoride, feste
Metallfluoride, -sulfide u., -oxide, Fluorwasserstoff, Schwefel-
dioxid

Zersetzungsprodukte können giftig/gesundheitsschädlich
beim Einatmen, Verschlucken oder Berührung mit der Haut
sein oder Augen, Atmungsorgane oder Haut reizen oder Ver-
ätzungen verursachen.

Beim Einatmen größerer Mengen Gefahr einer Lungenschädi-
gung (Lungenödem), die sich erst nach längerer Zeit bemerk-
bar machen kann.
-
Bei Gasaustritt Erstickungsgefahr infolge Sauerstoffverdrän-
gung, insbesondere am Boden und in tiefer gelegenen Räu-
men.

in electrical switchgears can contain decomposition prod-
ucts due to arc effects:
gaseous sulphur fluorides, and sulphur oxyd fluorides, solid
metal fluorides, -sulfides and -oxides, fluor hydrogen, sulphur
dioxide

Decomposition products can be toxic/noxious through inhaling
or swallowing them or by contact with the skin or irritate the
eyes, the respiratory organs or the skin or cause burns.
-
When inhaling very much, there is the danger of lung damage
(pulmonary oedema), which can come noticeable only after a
longer period.
-
If gas is escaping, there is the danger of suffocation due to ox-
ygen displacement, especially at the floor and in lower situated
compartments.

Bei Gasaustritt oder Wahrnehmung eines auf SF

zungsprodukte hinweisenden unangenehmen, stechenden
Geruchs (nach faulen Eiern) den Anlagenraum oder unter ihm
liegende Räume nicht betreten bzw. unverzüglich verlassen.
Betreten/Widerbetreten erst nach gründlicher Lüftung oder mit
Atemschutzgerät.

Persönliche Schutzausrüstung benutzen: Schutzhandschuhe,
Schutzanzug, Atemschutzgerät, Sicherheitsschuhe, Schutz-
brille, Schutzhelm.
-
Bei auf die Haut oder in die Augen gelangten Zersetzungspro-
dukten sofort
-
Haut mit viel Wasser spülen
-
Auge unter Schutz des unverletzten Auges ausgiebig
mit Wasser spülen.
-
Bei Atembeschwerden den Verletzten aus dem Gefahrenbe-
reich in frische Luft bringen, für Körperruhe sorgen, vor Wär-
meverlust schützen, Arzt hinzuziehen (Gefahr eines toxischen
Lungenödems).
-
Vor Pausen und bei Arbeitsende Gesicht, Hals, Arme und
Hände mit viel Wasser gründlich reinigen.
-
Im Anlagenraum keine Nahrungsmittel aufbewahren und nicht
rauchen, essen oder trinken.

Zersetzungsprodukte, Reinigungsflüssigkeiten und -material,
Einweganzüge und Filter (z.B. aus SF
6
-Anlagen, Wartungsge-
räten, Industriestaubsaugern oder Atemschutzgeräten) in ge-
sonderte Abfallbehälter geben.

If gas escapes or if you notice a disagreeable, pungent smell
(like rotten eggs) which indicates to SF
6
decomposition prod-
ucts, do not enter the switchgear compartment or the compart-
ments situated below, resp. immediately leave the areas Only
enter again after careful ventilation or with breathing apparatus
/ breathing mask.

Use your personal protective equipment: protective gloves,
protective suit, breathing apparatus, safety shoes, protective
glasses, safety helmet.

If skin or eyes get in contact with decomposition products im-
mediately
-
wash the skin with a lot of water
-
wash out the eye with a lot of water and protect the un-
hurt eye at same time.
-
If trouble occurs in breathing get the injured person out of the
danger area into the fresh air, provide for rest of the body, pro-
tect for heat loss, consult a doctor (danger of toxic pulmonary
oedema).

Before breaks and at end of works carefully wash face, neck,
arms and hands with a lot of water.
-
Do not store food in the switchgear compartment and do not
smoke, eat or drink there.

Dispose decomposition products, cleaning liquids and prod-
ucts, one-way suits and filters (i.e. from SF
6
-switchgears,
maintenance devices, industrial hoovers or breathing appa-
ratus) in special waste bins.
