10 Operation
Secure CEE power supply. Switch on the
main switch low down on the right of
the operating side of the unit. Connect
protective gas. Set gas bottle pressure
to 5 bar. The following will appear on
the display:

The lighting time is set by turning the
multifunction knob. From 10:0 the sec-
onds are displayed in stages of 30.

It is not possible to set more than 20:0
of lighting time.
Pressing the button starts the process.
A long press (3 seconds) on the button
always stops the respective program.
The PCU 90 can work with two dif-
ferent lighting concepts: the area
lighting with six lamps which lights
up the lighting field optimally from
above and also the rotation func-
tion which provides optimum light-
ing of the area above the rotary
plate with four lamps from above
and two from the side.
The setting of the gas flow is performed
at the setting button on the right.
Release the locknut, set the desired gas
flow and retighten the locknut. The gas
flow is set at approx. 30 l / m in the fac-
tory for post curing at the higher level.
10.1 Post curing at the upper level
Move the flip switch upwards to area.
Open flap to curing area. Remove the
rotary plate from the lower level if it is
present. Remove the insert and put the
displacer in position.
Caution: Never let go of the open-
ing flap. It must always be completely
guided by your hand whilst opening
and closing. Push the glass slab in. Put
parts for post curing into position and
close opening flap. The magnetic lock-
ing is audible. Set post curing time. A
quick press of the multifunction button
starts the post curing program and the
set post curing time flashes. Set the gas
flow to approx. 30 l/min with the help
of the setting screw. The value is shown
on the blue flow display. A program
for pre-gassing and filling the light-
ing chamber and protecting the lights
will run for four minutes. After this the
actual lighting period starts. The dis-
play expires. After three minutes the
gas valve closes automatically and the
blue flow display goes out so that the
PCU 90 is operated with protective gas
for seven minutes.
Normally an oxygen content is achieved
in the chamber which is needed for
inhibition free post curing. Once the
