Sterilization with ethylene oxide

Only the sensor cell of the O

sensor can be sterilized in

this way –

no other parts!

Maximum temperature: 50

Flash-off time

: at least 24 hours at 50

C with 60-fold

exchange of air. This impairs the service life of the
O

cell!

Steam sterilization at 121 or 134

Cato parts which can be sterilized in this way are listed
in the table on page 87.

Steam sterilization must be preceded by sterilization with
moist heat and/or wipe cleaning. All parts must be dry!
Steam sterilization is only required after treating an
infectious patient!

Minimum exposure times: 20 minutes at 121

C and

10 minutes at 134

C. Parts should preferably be

sterilized at 134

C since less time is required for the

procedure.
