Event message Cause Suggested remedies
mA out of range The current measured
value corresponds to an
output outside the 0(4)-
20mA range
Check settings
This message appears if the measured value is higher than the one assigned to
20mA or lower than the one assigned to 0/4mA.
Example:
You have set the mA output to pH 2-12. The output is 0(4)mA at pH 2, and 20mA at
pH12. If your measured value is pH 12.8, this message will appear.
Check the settings for the analog outputs, and change the settings if necessary.

RS 485 off Bus communication does
not work
Check bus connection and
address
This message appears if the master of your bus cannot reach the instrument via RS
485. Check the bus line, especially the connection to the instrument. Mind the
polarization of the bus cable.
If you have connected more than one instrument to the bus, use a serial connection
and connect one instrument after the other to see at which point the problem occurs.
Maybe you are asking for a wrong bus address, or somebody has activated the bus
termination in the middle of the bus line.
