3.2.4 User login / logout
To change the logged in user, click on LOG OUT
in the tile menu on the main screen or in the side
menu (see chapter 3.1 Main screen ). The login
dialog with the list of users is displayed.
If the user is not protected with PIN, you log
in by clicking on the selected user in the list.
If the user has an active PIN, it will not be dis-
played in the list, log in directly by entering it.
We recommend always protecting the Admin-
istrator account or other unlimited accounts
with PIN. This way you prevent the crew from
making unauthorized changes in cash register
settings.
The user can also login or logout just by applying the chip to the
reader (chip reader sold separately) or by scanning the bar code.
You have to insert the appropriate code from the scanned chip
or card into the user account. By applying the chip to the reader
the crew logs in or – if already logged in – logs out.
According to the purchased license, Dotypos may contain a simple
attendance system as well that you can activate in the Application
settings . The information about it can be found in the online user
guide in the chapter Working with the cash register » Application
settings » User management » Attendance .
