3.5 Start charging
The cash register system works in shifts. A shift
is the time from when the cash register is
opened until it is closed. Before you can start
charging, the cash register has to be opened
and the appropriate initial cash entered.
Open or close the cash register by simply click-
ing on OPEN CASH REGISTER or CLOSE CASH
REGISTER in the tile menu on the main screen
(see chapter 3.1 Main screen ). For cash with-
drawals and deposits during shifts, use the but-
ton CASH IN/CASH OUT and record the with-
drawal or deposit.
When the crew stops working, close the cash
register and enter the volume of cash again.
So you will classify the cash register opera-
tions into individual shifts. Of course, you do
not have to close the cash register if there is no
need to. However we do not recommend it to
keep reports well-arranged.
You will also receive a notice of any orders still
unsettled at the time when the cash register
is closed. According to the print task settings
(see chapter
3.2.2 Printing
), the Z-report will
be automatically printed after closing the cash
register.
You can charge the products just by clicking
on them. Once you go to the order settling
by
clicking on the button with arrow on the
main screen, the charged products are dis-
played. In this dialog you can adjust the proper-
ties of the charged products by tapping on the
icon

. So you can easily adjust the quantity,
note, discount, price, bonus points, portions
or takeaway sale.
