Disconnect wire (27) from circuit breaker (28).To

remove engine from the truck, other wires or
connectors not shown should be disconnected.

20.

Remove nut (29) and accel rod (30).

21.

Remove two bolts (31). Push wiring (32) back

toward the engine. Remove cover (33).

22.

Remove the six bolts (34) that hold the converter

to the flywheel. During the reassembly, the
tightening torque is 28 ± 7 N

m (40 ± 10 lb

ft).

NOTE:

At this point, make a final check to be sure

all removals and disconnections have been
made from the engine.
