Vehicle System

Disassembly & Assembly

Remove elbow (6) plug (7), washers (8) and

connector (9) from master cylinder.

Remove bolt (10), washer (11), tube (12) and

washer (13) from the body.

Remove the retaining spring (15) and washer (16)

from the body.

NOTE:

Be sure to check the condition of seal (18)

when disassembling the brake master
cylinder. For purposes of reassembly,
position seal (18) into the bore of body

Remove the components from body (5) as

follows:

Remove piston (17) and cup (18).

Remove cup-primary (19).

Remove spring (20) and spring seat (21).

Remove check valve (22).

Check the condition of the seals. Replace the

seals with new if worn or damaged.

Assemble the brake master cylinder in the

reverse order of disassembly

End By:

Install the brake master cylinder.
