Original Operating Instructions

Platform SCP

Clamping-connections for assembling the girder grille

Note:

Make sure that the clamping plates and joint plates are

correctly positioned.

Clamping-connection WU30 (pre-loaded)

Used at intersection point of grille-beam pairs.

Threaded-fastener material required

▪

4 threaded rods M20

(length 750 mm, strength grade 8.8)

▪

8 washers 20 (EN ISO 7089)

▪

8 hexagon nuts M20, strength grade 8

(EN ISO 4032 / DIN 934)

Note:

Use Tensioning instrument 300kN to pretension the

bolted connections.

The Tensioning instrument 300kN consists of:

▪

1 hollow-piston cylinder

▪

1 hydraulic hand pump 700 bar, including hose, fit-

tings and manometer

▪

1 pressure support

▪

1 carrying case

Pre-loading bolted joints

➤

Pre-assemble the clamping-connection by hand.

➤

Position the hollow-piston cylinder with the pressure

support over a threaded rod.

➤

Mount the Tensioning tool M20 on the threaded rod.

➤

Apply a pre-loading force of 100

kN by operating the

hand pump.

➤

Re-tighten the hexagon nuts and release the load

from the hollow-piston cylinder.

➤

Pre-load all the other threaded rods of the clamping-

connection WU30 in the same way.
