TROUBLESHOOTING
1. HANDLING ERROR CODES
Error Detection
When feeding card from the en-
trance, the card does not arrive
at the card entrance sensor within
a certain amount of time.
When ejecting card from the en-
trance, the card does not exit from
the card entrance sensor within a
certain amount of time.
When transporting card, the card
does not arrive at the card detec-
tion sensors (card entrance sen-
sor, laminate position sensor, card
exit sensor) within a certain
amount of time.
The card does not exit from the
laminate position sensor within a
certain amount of time.
When feeding card from the exit,
the card does not arrive at the
card exit sensor within a certain
amount of time.
When ejecting card from the exit,
the card does not exit from the
card exit sensor within a certain
amount of time.
When the film setting is patch film,
the black mark does not arrive at
the black mark sensor within a
certain amount of time during
laminating or resetting operation.
When reeling film after laminating
in a laminate operation, the black
mark does not arrive at the end
mark sensor within a certain
amount of time.
When the film setting is overlay
film, the encoder pulse output for
film reeling detection during the
resetting operation is the output
when the film is not installed.
Cassette switch is detected.
When the film setting is patch film,
the mark senor and end mark sen-
sor detected marks at the same
time.
When the film setting is overlay
film, the end mark sensor de-
tected marks.
When HR pressing, the slit does
not arrive at the heat roller pres-
sure position sensor within a cer-
tain amount of time.
When HR separation, the slit does
not arrive at the heat roller
standby position sensor within a
certain amount of time.
Action
Check the setup condition.
Check the operation of the card
entrance sensor using the sen-
sors in Service Mode.
Check the operation of the card
transport motor using the motors
in Service Mode.
Check the operation of the card
detection sensors (card entrance
sensor, laminate position sensor,
card exit sensor) using the sen-
sors in Service Mode.
Check the operation of the card
transport motor using the motors
in Service Mode.
Check the operation of the card
exit sensor using the sensors in
Service Mode.
Check the operation of the card
transport motor using the motors
in Service Mode.
Check that the film is properly
winded.
Check the operation of the black
mark sensor and end mark sen-
sor using the sensors in Service
Mode.
Check the operation of the film
reeling motor using the motors in
Service Mode.
Check whether the cassette de-
tection switch is pressed normally
when the cassette is installed.
Check whether the black mark
sensor and end mark sensor de-
tect marks normally using the sen-
sors in Service Mode.
Check whether the cam motor
operates normally using the mo-
tors in Service Mode.
Check whether the heat roller
pressure position sensor and heat
roller standby position sensor de-
tect slits normally using the sen-
sors in Service Mode.
