9 The device LED starts to flash in orange.
3. Take off the DITECH Smart Home iL room control unit Display from the installa-
tion bottom (see fig 3 page 5).
4. Pull out the insulating strip from the battery compartment, or insert batteries
(see fig 4 page 5). If batteries have already been inserted, press the system
key (D) for at least 4 seconds in order to activate the teach-in mode.

The teach-in mode is activated automatically for 3 minutes.
9 The device LED flashes in orange.
The LED will light up in green after a successful teach-in process. If the LED
lights up red, repeat the process.
5.1.2 Teaching-in to DITECH Smart Home iL central unit
For a control via the DITECH Smart Home iL app, the teaching-in must of the DT5638
must be performed via the DITECH Smart Home iL central unit (DT5637). Teach-in
the device as follows:

The central unit has been set up via the DITECH Smart Home iL app (see instruc-
tions DT5637).
1. Open the DITECH Smart Home iL app on the smart phone.
2. Select the menu item Teach-in device .
3. Release the DITECH Smart Home iL room control unit Display from the installa-
tion bottom (see fig 3 page 5).
4. Pull out the insulating strip from the battery compartment, or insert batteries
(see fig 4 page 5). If Batteries are inserted, shortly press the system key (D) in
order to activate the teach-in mode.
5. The device is displayed automatically in the DITECH Smart Home iL app.
