1.5 Intended Use
The UltiMate 3000 system is designed to perform equally well as system for routine analyses
or as a sophisticated research instrument for use in capillary, nano, and micro HPLC (high
performance liquid chromatography) applications.
The system is controlled by the Chromeleon Chromatography Management System. However, it
can also be operated with other data systems, such as Analyst
®
(Applied Biosystems/MDS
Sciex), HyStar™ (Bruker Daltonics), or Xcalibur
®
(Thermo Electron Corporation). To do so,
installation of the DCMS
Link
(Dionex Chromatography Mass Spectrometry Link) software is
required.
Please note that the system may be operated only using the accessories originally supplied with
the system modules and within its technical specification (
→
page 67).
