Note:

 

 In many of the illustrations in this manual, the optional paper 

feeder unit is included. If you do not have the optional paper feeder 
unit installed, your printer will not look exactly like the 
illustrations. If you have the optional paper feeder unit see 
“Attaching the optional paper feeder unit” on page 4-13 for 
installation information.

 

Removing printer shipping materials

 

1. Pull the paper cassette out of the printer and remove the 

lifting plate retainer.

2. Open the front door and remove the tape and the protective 

 

sheet. Remove the fixing screw holding the transfer drum.
