The hands indicate the distance
Move forward
Both arms are folded, the palms of the
hands backwards; the forearms make slow
movements towards the body
Move backwards
Both arms are folded, the palms of the
hands forward; the forearms make slow
movements away from the body
To the right compared
to signaller
The right arm, stretched horizontally, with
palm of right hand downwards, slowly
makes small movements towards
To the left compared to
signaller
The left arm, stretched horizontally, with
palm of right hand downwards, slowly
makes small movements towards
Horizontal distance
The hands indicate the distance
Danger Stop or
emergency stop
Both arms stretched upwards
Quick movement
The conventional signals used to indicate
movements are quickly made
Slow movement
The conventional signals used to indicate
movements are made very slowly
HAND SIGNALS
Accessories to hand signals:
- The signaller must be easily identified by the operator.
- The signaller must wear or hold one or more adequate recognition elements, like:
jacket, helmet, sleeves, bracelets, signal paddles.
- The recognition elements are bright coloured, preferably one, and reserved exclusively for the signaller.
