Dialogic PCI Linecard Installation and Replacement

To test the CSU:

Consult the documentation that accompanied the CSU or its manufacturer for
instructions on testing the CSU.

Choose one:

If the CSU...

Then…

Passes the diagnostic tests specified by
the manufacturer

Continue to the procedure for testing the
D/240PCI-T1–CSU or the CSU–D/240PCI-
T1 connection.

Does not pass the diagnostic tests
specified by the manufacturer

You have determined the cause of the
problem. Repair or replace the CSU (contact
the manufacturer or vendor for instructions).

To test the D/240PCI -T1–CSU or the CSU–D/240PCI-T1 connection:

Switch the loopback test switch to the On or Normal Mode position (refer to “The
Remote Loopback Switch (SW500)” for details).

Reconnect the D/240PCI-T1–to–CSU cable to the RJ-48C connector on the
D/240PCI-T1 and the connector on the CSU.

Reconnect the CSU to the T-1 cable.

Watch the LEDs at the back of the D/240PCI-T1 linecard for error indications (refer
to “LED Error Conditions” for specific information).
