5.5 Inspection, maintenance and testing

Manual drying
No drying is required following wiping with disinfectants since surplus
disinfectant evaporates. Surplus water from the cleaning process can be
removed with a soft cloth.
Sterilization
Sterilization is possible with labeled components. Dentsply Sirona
recommends sterilization in a steam sterilizer (autoclave) in accordance
with ISO 13060 in class B (e.g.: DAC Premium / DAC Professional).
The sterilization must be completed with multiple vacuum fractionation
(class B sterilizer). The process parameters can be found in the engraved
characters on the relevant components and the operating instructions for
these. Please also observe the operating instructions for the sterilizer.
5.5
Inspection, maintenance and testing
Unless otherwise specified in this operating manual, test all components
for proper functioning on a regular basis and carry out a visual inspection
for damage and wear. Exchange damaged components if necessary.
5.6
Cleaning and disinfecting lamp components
Unit model
Switch the operating light to Clean mode before cleaning/disinfection (see
"Operation via dentist or assistant element" [ → 22]).
Complete a manual clean in order to remove any dirt and disinfectant
residue (see "General processing instructions" [ → 42]).
The lamp components including the light exit window can be wiped with
surface disinfectants approved by the manufacturer.
