4.2 Operation via the dentist or assistant element

Switching the composite function on/off
With the composite function, the operating light can be operated at a
reduced brightness of approx. 10,000 lux.
This function is required to prevent the premature curing of composite
materials.
➢ Press the
Composite function fixed key on the dentist or assistant
element.
ª
If the composite function is switched on, the LED of the
Composite function fixed key lights up on the dentist element.
The
Operating light key on the assistant element lights up.
Switching the Clean mode on/off
The contactless sensor can be made inoperable using the Clean mode
for the dentist element.
This mode is used to make sure that no unwanted functions can be
accidentally triggered while cleaning the surfaces of the operating light
(see "Cleaning and disinfecting lamp components [ → 43]").
➢ Press the
Clean fixed key on the dentist element.
ª
The Clean mode of the dentist element and operating light is
activated.
1. Press the
Clean fixed key on the dentist element for > 3 seconds.
or
➢
Press the footswitch pedal.
ª
The Clean mode of the dentist element and operating light is
deactivated.
Activating the operating light on the assistant element
Press the
Operating light fixed key repeatedly to set the following
switching states on the assistant element:
1. Switched on: The operating light is switched on at the preset
brightness level.
2. Composite function: The operating light is operated with reduced
brightness to prevent the premature curing of composite materials.
3. Deactivated
➢ Press the
Operating light fixed key on the dentist element (several
times if necessary).
ª
The examination light switches to "switched on", "composite
function" or "switched off".
IMPORTANT
You can also detect that the Composite function is activated through the
considerably warmer light color (approx. 3,250 K).
