NOTE
►
If you are setting up a PV instal-
lation with multiple 3 TL or 5 TL
inverters connected in a network,
then a unique RS485 ID will be
need to be set for each inverter.
Please see Chapter 10 Settings -
RS485 settings for more details on
this procedure
8.3.3 Point to Point Ethernet Setup Process
ETHERNET
1. Check the Ethernet IP address that is given on the
inverter display and make note of this.
The ethernet IP address is found in the
communication
settings menu
on the display menu. Please see Chapter
9 -Production for an explanation of where the
communica-
tion settings menu
can be found if further explanation is
needed.
2. Check if the connection between PC and inverter is
working. Start the cmd.exe application on your PC.
Enter ping and IP address on the command line and hit
enter.
If the ping is sucessful you should receive a confirmation
that packets were sent.
3. If the ping was successful, next open Internet Explorer
and enter the Ethernet IP address into the web address
field and hit enter. You will see a message that the web
site is loading.
→
Web page is loaded and now you can adjust in-
verter settings.
þ
Point to Point Ethernet Setup is completed.
8.3.4
Overview of Web Interface features
ETHERNET
Note: There are three User Levels: Guest, Owner, Installer.
Each level will have varied functions, with Guest hav-
ing access to basic information and Installer with more
advanced user rights. For more info please see Chapter 9
Production Information, sec. 9.2.1.
Two main Web Interface menus, Device Settings and Sys-
tem Settings are available. Please see menu details in the
next section. More details can be found in Chapter 9 Pro-
duction Information and Chapter 10 Settings.
8.3.5 Setting Up the Wireless Network Connection
(for models with WiFi enabled communication
module)
ETHERNET WIRELESS
Connect via WIFI (default ad-hoc w/o security)
1. Disconnect any connections of other interfaces (ex.
ethernet)
2. Ensure this interface setting can assign AutoIP (private
address) address automatically.
3. Remember to disable PROXY setting unless you know
how to set ignored list (169.254.*).
4. Open your browser and copy this link URL
http://169.254.2.100 in the address bar.
Due to using private address for default setting, the host PC
or mobile device should only apply address in 169.254.*.* to
the interface connected to network card.
Make sure to add 169.254.* to ignore list of PROXY setting
if the PROXY function is enabled for browser.

and reactive power control settings
can be configured, see
Chapter 10
Settings for information on adjust-
ing Active and Reactive Power
settings via the Web Interface.
Note that
ETHERNET
is required to
make DE LVD adjustments.
