Removing the hard drive or SSD cage
Prerequisites

1.
Follow the safety guidelines listed in safety instructions section.
2.
Keep the Phillips #1 screwdriver ready.
3.
Followthe procedure listed in the Beforeworking inside yoursystem section.
4.
Remove the hard drive(s) orSSD(s).
5.
Remove the hard drive or SSD backplane.
Steps
1.
Remove the four screws securing the hard drive or SSD cage to the chassis.
2.
Holding the hard drive or SSD cage by its edges, lift it up and away from the system.
