Spanning-Tree Commands

spanning-tree link-type

The

spanning-tree link-type

Interface Configuration mode command overrides the default link-type

setting. Use the

no

form of this command to reset the default.

Syntax

spanning-tree link-type

point-to-point

shared

— Specifies the port link type as point-to-point.

•

shared

— Specifies that the port link type is shared.

Default Configuration

There is no default configuration for this command.

Command Modes

Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode.

User Guidelines

•

The switch derives the link type of a port from the duplex mode. A full-duplex port is considered a
point-to-point link, and a half-duplex port is considered a shared link.

the specified spanning-tree instance. Use the
