Removing the Expansion-Card Guide (Mini Tower Chassis)
CAUTION: Before you perform this procedure, see " Precautionary
Measures ."
NOTICE: Before disconnecting a peripheral from the system or removing a
component from the system board, verify that the standby power indicator on
the system board has turned off. To locate this indicator, see "
System Board
Components " or " Interior Service Label ."

Turn off the computer and peripherals, disconnect them from their
electrical outlets, wait at least 5 seconds, and then remove the
computer cover .

Lay the computer down on its right side.

Remove the AGP card brace .

Remove all expansion cards .

Disconnect the fan power cable from its connector on the system
board (FAN2). To locate this connector, see " System Board
Components " or " Interior Service Label ."

Remove the expansion-card guide:
NOTE:
The I/O cooling fan is mounted on the expansion-card guide.

From the outside of the chassis, press in the tab on the top of the
card guide.
This will release the card-guide tab from the chassis.

Rotate the released side of the card guide away from the front
chassis wall.

With the released side of the card guide away from the chassis
wall, pull the card guide up away from the chassis (see the
following figure).
