Removing USB 3.0 module
Prerequisites

Remove the backplane cover.

Remove the cooling fan assembly.
5
Remove the air shroud.
6
Remove the internal USB memory key.
NOTE:
The position of the USB 3.0 module may vary depending on the configuration of your
system.
NOTE:
Ensure that you note the routing of the cables as you remove them from the system board. Route these cables
properly when you replace them to prevent them from being pinched or crimped.
Steps
1
Disconnect the cables from the system board.
2
Using Phillips #2 screwdriver, loosen the screw on the USB 3.0 module.
3
Slide the USB 3.0 module out of the system.
