Install the system in the cabinet

About this task

CAUTION

The system components are heavy. To avoid personal injury and/or damage to the

equipment, do not attempt to install or remove system components without a mechanical lift
and/or help from another person.

Procedure

1. At the front of the cabinet, pull the inner slide rails out of the cabinet until they lock into

place.

2. Align the rear standoffs on each side of the system with the rear J-slots on the slide rails,

and then lower the system until the remaining standoffs are seated in the J-slots.

3. Push the system inward until the server-lock latches click into place.

4. Push the system inward until the lock levers click into place.

5. Press the slide-release lock latch on both rails and slide the system into the rack until the

slam latches engage with the rails.
