Prerequisites

1. Remove the 

base cover

.

2. Remove the 

graphics-card fan

.

3. Remove the 

processor fan

.

4. Remove the 

heat sink

.

Procedure

1. Remove the two screws (M2x2.5) that secures the I/O board to the palm-rest assembly.
2. Open the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the I/O board.
3. Lift the I/O board off the palm-rest assembly.
