Code 240.010.0001
Never disconnect the AC or DC connectors connected to the DLS system before switching off the (external
or internal) circuit breakers. If the connectors are disconnected during the system operation, large electrical
arcs could be produced.
An electric shock can be fatal.
An electric discharge could set fire to the DLS.
An electric discharge could cause fires able to spread to surrounding locations.
Opening the DLS system, with the exceptions listed in this manual, is strictly prohibited.
The DLS system cannot be modified in any way.
Should the operator not comply with the instructions given above, the manufacturer will not accept any
responsibilities.
8.2
Switching off the System
Before starting the maintenance operations, make sure to have switched off the system by following, in
sequential order, the steps described below:
1. Switch on the AC BYPASS switch (position 1).
2. Switch off the DC isolator (position 0).
3. Switch off the AC GRID thermal magnetic circuit breaker (position 0).
4. Switch off the AC OUT thermal magnetic circuit breaker (position 0).
5. Switch off the GEN thermal magnetic circuit breaker (position 0).
6. Switch off the AC line external main switch.
7. If present, switch off any auxiliary power generator and disconnect the AC line external main switch
coming from the UPS.
The equipment contains capacitors that store static electricity, which could produce dangerous electric dis-
charges. Wait until these devices have discharged their energy before carrying out any work on the equip-
ment.
8.3
Replacing the Battery Fuse
Before starting the maintenance operations, make sure to have switched off the system.
During the replacement operations, take great care not to cause short-circuits between the positive and
negative poles of the battery cables as this could case electric shocks or fires, as well as damage the bat
-
tery.
The DLS system is fitted with a safety fuse against battery short-circuits, with nominal data of 100A 80V
DC type. In the event of a replacement, the fuse nominal data must never be exceeded as this could cause
electric shocks or fires in the event of a short-circuit.
1.
Loosen the fuse fixing bolts.
2. Replace the fuse with one with equivalent nominal values (100A 80VDC).
3.
Take care not to press the fuse terminals between the fixing washers to prevent them from warping
whilst tightening the bolts.
4. Tighten the bolts with a suitable torque (15 Nm - 20 Nm).
