7.3.2 Programming the Contact Controls
Contacts are independently controlled (switching or closing), according to the user's settings, which can
be set from the control panel (see the section SYSTEM PROGRAMMING - SETTINGS - HOME AUTOMA-
TION).
7.4
CAN/RS485 board (optional)
The CAN/RS485 communication board (optional) provides the terminal strips to make the connection with
the CAN or RS485 communication buses of external devices interfaced with the DLS system (such as
Lithium batteries).
7.4.1 Installation and Connections
See the connection diagram and illustration of Figure 09.
Fix the home CAN/RS485 board support onto the DIN rail located in the connection compartment and con-
nect the monitoring cabling connectors, available in the connection compartment, as shown in the illustra-
tions.
Connect the single contacts according to the specifications of the controlled devices, as shown in the illus
-
trations.
WARNING: Incorrectly connecting the communication signals could affect the correct operation of the sys-
tem and relieves the manufacturer from all liabilities, as well as invalidates the warranty.
After completing the operations, close the connection compartment with its cover and secure it with fixing
screws.
8 MAINTENANCE
8.1
General Information
Any repair work or replacement of parts of the system must be carried out only by qualified technical staff.
Repair work or replacement of parts of the system carried out by unauthorised staff will immediately invali-
date the product warranty.
Only genuine spare parts must be used. Using non genuine spare parts will immediately invalidate the
product warranty.
Immediately replace the components that do not appear in perfect conditions.
Before starting any maintenance operations, make sure that the system has been switched off, and that the
AC line external main switch has been set to off.
If an auxiliary power generator is available, before starting any maintenance operations, make sure that the
UPS has been switched off and that the AC line external switch coming from the UPS has also been set to
off.
The equipment contains capacitors that store static electricity, which could produce dangerous electric
discharges. Make sure that the devices have discharged their energy before carrying out any work on the
equipment.
