3.15 Connect power supply and back-up battery
Your proxSafe flexx system needs a supply voltage of 13.8 V in order to charge the back-
up battery during operation. If you prefer operating without back-up battery, it is sufficient
to supply the system with 12 V/DC.
First the power supply unit inside the flexx has to be connected to the external wall power
supply (see 3.5 „Connect external wall power supply“).
For connection of the internal power supply unit and the back-up battery use the cables,
which have been supplied with your flexx system.

Connect the power supply (13.8 V DC) to
the backplane “Power In”.
2.
Connect the back-up battery to the
backplane “Accu”.
Important installation note:
In case of disconnection of the cable from the power supply unit or if you choose to use
your own power supply solution, we recommend to note the following pinning:
Power supply: (3-pole connector): 1 NC

+DC (brown)
3 GND (blue)
Back-up battery (2-pole connector): 1 +DC (brown)
2 GND (blue)
