MAX MASS LIMIT

The default is 1.5g. Change to suit!

31.2

HOW TO MEASURE THE WIRE+COTTON RISE

The default setting is ~0.06C. This is not a very important because it is an offset to the raw temperature

rise.

Disable the Miss-fire Limit with:

MISSFIRE LIMIT

Default setting is 0.44C. Enter ‘0’, this disables the misfire limit!

Then clear the Cotton correction

WIRE CORR 1

Enter ‘0.0’.

Prepare the vessel (without a sample) and run a determination. After the complete run read:

READ LAST N_RISE 0

This reads the Net Rise of the last sample. Since the cotton correction=0 it is the RAW TEMPERATURE

RISE.

Enter the obtained reading with CMD=9.

HOW TO MEASURE THE GELATIN CAPSULE RISE

The gelatin capsule rise is needed when EASY SPIKING is used. In this method the sample is packed

inside the capsule and the capsule rise is deducted from the net-rise. Proceed as follows:

Disable the Miss-fire Limit with:

MISSFIRE LIMIT

Default setting is 0.44C. Enter ‘0’, this disables the misfire limit!

Prepare a vessel with a gelatin capsule but without a sample and run a determination. After the run

obtain the temperature rise by:

READ LAST N_RISE 0

This reads the Net Rise of the last sample. This is the temperature rise produced by the gelatin capsule.

Enter this value in:
