BLUETOOTH
The BLUETOOTH operation requires optional hardware. These devises are used to connect a PC to the
CAL3K. A good reason to use the extra hardware is:
A)
The USB cable is too short for a computer connection
B)
The PC has no RS232 port
C)
It is too difficult to run a RS232 cable from the CAL3K to the PC
The BLUETOOTH uses wireless communication between the CAL3K (with a RS232 port) and the PC (with
a USB port).
The BLUETOOTH communication speed is 115.2KB. If more than one BLUETOOTH connection is used
then it requires a name in order to distinguish between them.
72 BLUETOOTH NAME 1
This entry is important if you are using a BLUETOOTH bridge to connect from the CAL3K RS232 port to a
PC USB port, and if you have more than one BLUETOOTH device. The name identifies the link to your PC.
The BLUETOOTH link can’t be used for a connection to a computer because a virtual driver is loaded on
to your PC.

SIMULATIONS
Simulations are a nice tool for testing performance, printing, storage and display. This is especially true
when connecting to an external device such as a computer or printer. The simulated data is useless, but
this does not matter because the data flow, presentation, capture and output are important.
28.1
SIMULATING CV PROCESS
The CAL3K operates normal, but 6 times faster. It requires no oxygen (
CAL3K-AP: No pressure
), no
sample, no mass entry, but a firing wire. It will produce a real time (RT) output if enabled and available
and print a result line if enabled (CMD=86). A vessel must be in the well.
20 SIMULATION 0
This is a service command. It allows checking out the complete calorific determination but 6 times faster
without oxygen or balance. See: DEMO (CMD=108) for the slowed down version.
Note:
The simulated result is entered in to memory, but is suitable flagged.
