Network settings
IMPORTANT
Contact your authorized network administrator before you adjust
the network settings.
9.1
General settings
The basic network settings are made in the Network settings dialogue window.
¾
Select Common settings > Network.
¾
First select the appropriate Link speed for the
current LAN. In most cases the default setting
automatic will suffice.
If you check the DHCP option, you will connect to
the existing network without any further
configuration. No other information must be ente-
red. In this case the DIS takes its network settings
from a central DHCP server.
If DHCP is not selected enter the IP-Address for the DIS and also the Netmask and the
Gateway.
¾
Save your settings by clicking on OK.
9.2
Alarm host
If you wish to configure an alarm host, the DIS can send alarm messages via the LAN. A
software package (for example PGuard) to evaluate the messages must be running on the
receiving computer.
¾
Select Common settings > Alarm hosts.
If you have not previously configured an alarm host only the New option will be displayed.
