3 About the box

3.1 Overview: About the box

This chapter describes what you have to do after the box with the outdoor unit is
delivered on-site.

It contains information about:

Unpacking and handling the outdoor unit

Removing the accessories from the unit

Removing the transportation stay

Keep the following in mind:

At  delivery,  the  unit  MUST  be  checked  for  damage.  Any  damage  MUST  be
reported immediately to the claims agent of the carrier.

Bring  the  packed  unit  as  close  as  possible  to  its  final  installation  position  to
prevent damage during transport.

When handling the unit, take into account the following:

Fragile, handle the unit with care.

Keep the unit upright in order to avoid compressor damage.

Prepare the path along which you want to bring the unit inside in advance.

Lift the unit preferably with a crane and 2 belts of at least 8 m long as shown in
the  figure  below.  Always  use  protectors  to  prevent  belt  damage  and  pay
attention to the position of the unit's centre of gravity.

Use a belt sling of ≤20 mm wide that adequately bears the weight of the unit.

A forklift can only be used for transport as long as the unit remains on its pallet
as shown above.
