DGS-8000 Series Hardware Installation Guide Chapter 3 Switch Installation

3.8

Grounding

A PGND is installed on the back of DGS-8000. You must first connect the PGND to the
grounding terminal of the cabinet and then connect the grounding terminal to the grounding
bar of the equipment room.

3.8.1

Precautions



The sectional area of the grounding cable should be determined according to the

possible maximum current. Cables of good conductor should be used.



Do not use bare wire.



The grounding resistance for combined grounding should be less than 1

Ω

3.8.2

Simple Grounding Steps

1. Release the nut on the grounding pole of the equipment.

2. Lock the terminal of the grounding cable to the grounding pole.

3. Tighten the nut with a cross screwdriver.

4. Connect the related terminals according to the above steps.

5. There are grouding points of the equipment on both sides of the back of equipment, you

can choose them according to the autual condition.
