1. PLACE THE CHILD RESTRAINT IN
POSITION.
Adjust the Child Restraint to its
most
upright position, then place it on the
aircraft seat forward-facing, as shown.
Do not use Lock-Off with Aircraft seat belt because it is for use with lap/shoulder
belt systems only.
IMPORTANT:
Before installing the Child Restraint, make sure the
aircraft seat is
in a fully upright position.
Note:
After landing, refer to page 41 for vehicle installation.

4. CHECK YOUR WORK.
With your hand holding the seat shell at
the Rear-Facing Belt Path, as shown, try to
move the Child Restraint from side to side.
Then, holding the seat shell at each
Rear-Facing Belt Path, try to move
the Restraint forward.
If you can move the Child Restraint more
than 1 in. (2.5 cm) from the aircraft seat
back or side to side
at the belt path
, the
aircraft seat belt is not tight enough, and you
MUST
install again until the seat belt is tight.

5. OPEN CHEST CLIP.
After securing your child with the harness,
open the chest clip.
In order to comply with FAA regulation for
Portable Electronic Devices (PED), the
SensorSafe Chest Clip
MUST
be opened
before take-off.
Note:
Make sure the harness straps are tight
before opening the chest clip.
