Max Age:
This parameter (in seconds) is transmitted to make sure that every bridge in the network has a convenient value for evaluating the expiry time
of the stored configuration.
Hello Time:
This delay (in seconds) defines the interval between configuration BPDU frames (BPDU=Bridge Protocol Data Unit).
Forward Delay:
This is the delay (in seconds) for each port to pass in the Forwarding state.
Ports settings:
This option activates a submenu for setting the STP port parameters
Priority:
This parameter defines the priority of each port. The lower value makes the higher priority.
Range: 0 – 255. Default: 128.
Cost (STP):
This parameter defines the cost of each port. The Auto value allocates a cost according to the interface speed, so the traffic passes
through the higher rate interfaces.
Range: 0 (Auto) to 9999. Default: 0.
Cost_rstp (RSTP):
This parameter defines the cost of each port. The Auto value allocates a cost according to the interface speed, so the traffic passes
through the higher rate interfaces.
Range: 0 (Auto) to 20000000. Default: 0.
5.3.9. VLAN Configuration
The CIP-ALL manages two types of VLANs: VLAN per port and 802.1Q VLANs.
The port based VLANs are used to isolate Ethernet interfaces from each other. This type of VLAN is a simple way to define the WAN port for
the Bundle traffic (which is connected on the remote).
802.1Q VLAN allows to segment networks (reduce the broadcast packets) and secure them by creating isolated virtual networks.
VLAN per port :
This table defines member ports.
Example:
Only VLAN on LAN2 and LAN3 are set. LAN2 is connected to the TDM over Packet processor and then to the remote CIP-ALL. The LAN3,
LAN4, FO1 and FO2 are all connected together.
VLAN 802.1Q :
