SETTING OF UNIT OF MEASURE
Drake computer can either make their own calculations both expressing the values in the metric system
(depth in metres and temperature in °C) or in imperial units (feet and °F). To change the units of measure
press the UP or DOWN button until the SYSTEM mode, then press the MODE button until word "S.UNIT"
(set unit) appears with the indication °C/m. or °F/ft.
Then press the MODE button. The indications start flashing. To adjust them, press the UP or DOWN
button. Confirm the set value by holding down the Mode button for a few seconds until hearing an acoustic
signal to confirm the exit from the menu. Keep pressing and holding the Mode button to return to the main
menu (after another acoustic signal) Alternatively, the computer will change the settings automatically with
an acoustic signal and then will return to the main screen.
SETTING OF THE SAMPLING TIME
In the SYSTEM menu, it is possible to vary the sampling time of the computer and that is the time interval
in which it stores the data of depth and time. With higher sampling times the memory available will
increase and we will have the ability to store multiple sessions and individual dives. In contrast with short
times, we will have a greater accuracy of the diving profiles and a greater accuracy of the data provided,
but less memory space and therefore fewer sessions or individual dives stored. The sampling times of
Drake go from 1 to 4 seconds. To set them, once you are in the menu of the underwater computer, press
the UP or DOWN buttons up to the word SYSTEM. Enter by pressing the MODE button and scroll with the
UP and DOWN buttons until the word ACQ.TIME (ACQUISITION TIME) appears at the bottom of the
display. Press the MODE button. The word will flash at the centre of the display indicating the sampling
interval in seconds. Change the data by pressing the UP or DOWN buttons. Confirm the set value by
holding down the Mode button for a few seconds until hearing an acoustic signal to confirm the exit from
the menu. Keep pressing and holding the Mode button to return to the main menu (after another acoustic
signal). Alternatively, the computer will change the settings automatically with an acoustic signal and then
will return to the main screen.
