SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
Service Spark Plug
1.
Clean the spark plug and reset the gap to .030” at least once a season or
every 50 hours of operation.
2.
Clean the area around the spark plug. Remove and inspect the spark plug.
3.
Replace the spark plug if the electrodes are pitted, burned or the porcelain
is cracked.

An F6RTC spark plug must be used for replacement. To purchase,
contact an authorized service center or call 1-888-331-4569. Ask for
replacement spark plug 951-10292.

NOTE:
Do not sand the spark plug. The spark plug should be cleaned with a
wire brush and a commercial solvent.
Clean Engine
1.
Clean the engine periodically, by removing dirt and debris with a cloth or brush.
NOTE:
Cleaning with a forceful spray of water is not recommended as water
could contaminate the fuel system.
2.
To ensure smooth operation of the engine, keep the governor linkage,
springs and controls free of debris.
3.
Every 100 hours of operation, remove combustion deposits from top of
cylinder, head, top of piston and around valves.
WARNING
Do not at any time make any adjustments without first stopping the
engine, disconnecting spark plug wire and grounding it against the
engine. Always wear safety glasses during operation or while performing
any adjustments or repairs.
Hose Clamps
Before each use check all the hose clamps to see if they are tight.
Flexible Pump Coupler
The flexible pump coupler is a nylon “spider” insert, located between the pump and
the engine shaft. Over time, the coupler will harden and deteriorate. If you detect
vibration or noise coming from the area between the engine and the pump contact an
authorized service center. If the coupler fails completely, you will experience a loss of
power.
Tires
The maximum pressure for the tires is 30 psi. Do not exceed the manufacturer’s
recommended psi under any circumstances. Maintain equal pressure on all tires.
WARNING
Excessive pressure when seating beads may cause the tire/rim assembly to
burst with force sufficient to cause serious injury. Refer to sidewall of the
tire for the recommended pressure.
