M’Ax User Guide
Issue Number: 4
Adjustment of parameter values must be performed
only by suitably trained or experienced personnel.
Incorrect values could be hazardous.
For product familiarisation, it is recommended that you
make only the adjustments stated in the following
procedures. If you do adjust any other parameter(s),
first note the original value(s).
4.4
Preparation
1.
Use the finger tab at the top of the Drive to open the door for access
to the alphanumeric display and keypad.
2.
Connect the AC supply to the Drive.
4.5
Status mode
When the AC supply is connected, the display enters Status mode, and
should indicate as follows:
Upper line
The upper line of the display initially indicates the motor speed (the value
of parameter 0.05) or, if a different parameter had been specified during
previous use of the Drive, the value of that parameter. The parameter
that is displayed at this time is referred to as the initially displayed
parameter.
Lower line
The lower line of the display indicates the status of the Drive, in this case
inh which indicates that the Drive is inibited (disabled) because
Hardware enable has not been applied. If Hardware enable is being
applied, rdY or run appears; in this case open the Hardware enable
contact (or set parameter 6.15 Drive enable at 0).
If the lower line shows any of the following...
trP
hot
Ibr
ouL
... see Appendix B Diagnostics on page 84 for help in locating the fault.
When the fault has been corrected and the AC supply is re-connected to
the Drive, the lower line will indicate inh.
Displaying the parameter number
The number of the parameter whose value is displayed on the upper line
can be shown on the lower line (instead of the status).
1.
To show the parameter number, press...
Parameter number 0.05 appears.
2.
To return to showing the status, press...
The status re-appears.
4.6
Entering Parameter mode and
returning to Status mode
1.
Press
Hint
If the lower line of the display is showing a parameter number, press
the key twice.
The display enters Parameter mode, indicated by the lower line
showing parameter number 0.05. (A different parameter number
could be shown, as stated previously.) The upper line remains
unchanged.
2.
Do not press any keys.
After eight seconds, the display returns to Status mode, indicated by
the lower line returning to showing the status.
This shows that the display always returns from Parameter mode to
Status mode when no keys are pressed within eight seconds.
These two steps may be repeated as many times as required.
