normal oPeratinG sequence
A correct starting sequence is necessary to run the normal operating se-
quence. In the normal operating sequence, the machine movement is
signalled to the safety relay by opening and closing the machine contact.
The output contacts of the yrB-0330-242 are opened when the machine
contact opens. The operator must then perform the required number of
intrusions (steps) on the AOPD to automatically restart the machine op-
eration. All necessary steps must be completed within 30 s.
The request to interrupt the protective field is indicated by fast flashing
(3 Hz) on terminal 48. When the required number of interruptions on the
AOPD has been completed, the lamp goes off and the contacts K1 and
K2 close.
machine contact
A machine contact must be connected to the terminals S41 and S42 of
the yrB-0330-242. It opens and closes depending on the machine move-
ment.
monitorinG of the machine contact
2 ways of monitoring are selectable:
contact tyPe 1
In this mode, an intrusion into the AOPD must only take place after the
machine contact has been opened and closed again. An exception is if
the intrusion takes place while the contact is open, and is still going on
when the contact has closed.

contact tyPe 2
In this mode, intrusions are detected already when the machine contact
is open. However, the machine is only enabled when all the intrusions are
completed and the machine contact has closed again.

Application: presses with slow movement
forbidden intrusion into the aoPd
Unauthorised intrusions into the AOPD lead to switching off the machine-
release contacts K1, K2. On forbidden intrusions, the lamp on terminal
58 flashes regularly. The lamp on terminal 48 flashes with function failure
code 1. After completion of the intrusion, the lamp on terminal 58 returns
to permanent light and indicates that the machine can be started by press-
ing the start button.
