20. Password Protection
This function protects the telephone book, the appointment planner and the memo function.
If a password is set, the password must first be entered before the data saved in the memory
functions can be accessed.
The password can be a maximum of 8 characters in length.
Write the password down and save it in a safe place. Without knowing the
password you will have no further access to the telephone book, the appointment
planner and the memo function!
• Selecting the password function
Press the "MODE" button repeatedly until the display shows a key symbol "
".
If no password has been programmed, then the option to set a password appears at the
bottom of the display.
If a password has already been entered, you can choose between changing or deleting the
password.
• Enter password
If no password has been assigned yet, then press the "ENTER" button.
Enter the password.
Use the "
" and/or "
" buttons to select the desired letter at the flashing cursor position
and confirm the letter with the "ENTER" button. Continue in the same manner with all the
other letters.
If a line "_" appears at the entry position, then...

you can use the "
" button to delete the last character

the password can be saved by pressing the "ENTER" button, and you are directed to
the check question (enter the password again)
Enter the password again as described above when the check question appears. After you
have confirmed with the "ENTER" button, a small padlock symbol " " appears at the bottom
right of the display.
