• Pots should have a flat base
Use fairly heavy-duty and flat-bottomed pots. An uneven bottom extends the cooking time.
• Matching pot diameter
Use suitable pots for each burner size.
Note: Realize that the manufacturers often mark a pot with the upper diameter, although the bottom is smaller.
• Matching pot size
Use a small pot for a small food volume. A larger pot consumes more energy, even when half-empty.
• Use a pot lid
Use lids to cover pots and pans. Cooking without a lid increases the energy consumption.
• Water volume water
Use the smallest volume of water necessary. This way you can save energy. Also, your food will retain vitamins and
minerals.
• Lowering the temperature
Use timely setting of a lower temperature.
Thermocouple protection preventing gas outflow if the burner is extinguished
The thermocouple included close to the burner body prevents gas flow if the burner is accidentally extinguished.
Burner jet exchange
This cooktop can be adapted to work with propane gas. To do so, an exchange of the burner jets is necessary.
The cooktop is factory-prepared to operate with natural gas burner jet. Propane gas burner jets are included in the
delivery.
Operations related to the exchange or adaptation to LP gas should be performed by authorized technical personnel
only.
Follow this procedure:
1. Remove the grates.
2. Remove the covers and flame diffusers.
3. Using the 7 mm socket, remove the burner jets and install new ones.
4. Install the burners in reverse order of their removal.
Burner ignition
1. Turn the burner control knob to the position. This sets the gas supply set to the maximum while the safety
thermocouple is protected against leakage.
2. Press the burner knob. The gas supply is then open and the piezo-electric ignitor sparks light the flowing gas.
Keep the knob pressed for about 10 seconds to warm up the thermocouple. Then release the knob.
Note: Never press the knob for more than 15 seconds. If the flame does not light in 15 seconds, release the knob,
turn it off to the position, then wait 1 minute and try again.
3. Adjust the burner flame to the required rate using the control knob when the flame appears. The mark shows
the minimum heat performance.
Burner flame extinguishing
a) Manual
Set the control knob to the position to turn off the burner and shut off the gas supply.
b) Automatic (safety)
If the burner is extinguished, e.g. due to ventilation air flow or food boiling over, the thermocouple will
automatically shut off the gas supply to prevent an undesired outflow.
