1.

Perform the 
preparation 
procedures.

2.

Remove the 
hood.

3.

Move the air 
baffle out of 
the way.

4.Remove the 

system board 
from the 
chassis.

5.Locate the 

Zero Insertion 
Force (ZIF) 
socket.

6.Remove the 

clip from the 
heatsink 

 of 

the processor 
and remove 
the heatsink

 

7.Remove the 

heat 
conductive pad 
off the 
processor 

.

8.Lift up the 

handle of the 
ZIF socket 

 

and pull the 
processor off 
of the system 
board 

 

NOTE:

The 
processor 
is spared 
with the 
heatsink.

End of 
sequence. To 
replace the 
processor, 
reverse this 
procedure.
