If your unit does not have metal tabs, pull the fan assembly straight up
and out of the switch. Go to with the next section, “Installing the Fan
Assembly.”

If your unit has metal tabs, clear the metal tabs in front of the fan
assembly by gently pushing the top of the tab toward the outside of the
unit and the bottom of the tab to the inside of the unit.
