Shutting down the E-CO
2
150
WARNING
NEVER
disconnect any compressed air supply hose without first performing
the “DISCONNECT AIR SUPPLY HOSE” procedure described in this manual.
Failure to do so can cause the hose to blow off unexpectedly and cause
possible harm.
1.
Ensure the Dry Ice Blaster is air only.
2. Flip the switch on the E-CO
2
150 to the Dry Ice Only mode and blow out the line for a few
minutes to ensure there is no abrasive media in the hose. (if you desire to empty the tank of
abrasive media, leave the mode set to Abrasive Dry Ice to empty the tank)
3.
At the completion of blasting, use the following procedures to shut down the E-CO
2
150.

Shut down the Dry Ice Blaster using the proper shutdown procedures in it’s operator
manual.
5.
Turn off the air supply from the main to the Dry Ice Blaster.
6.
Turn off the air supply to the tank.
7. Open the Blowdown valve to ensure that there is no pressure in the system.
Disconnecting Air Supply Hose
After the E-CO
2
150 has been depressurized, and the inlet valve has been closed, the compressed
air supply hose may still contain pressure which must be released before disconnecting the hose.
To do this shut off the compressed air at its source, and open the drain valve and the blow down
valve on the E-CO
2
150. Slowly open the inlet valve on the E-CO
2
150. The compressed air stored
in the compressed air supply line can now escape through the drain valve and blow down valve.
When you no longer hear the air escaping through the valves, squeeze the compressed air supply
hose to confirm the absence of compressed air in the supply hose. After confirming the absence of
compressed air it is now safe to disconnect the air supply hose to the E-CO
2
150.
Emergency Stop
When the emergency stop is activated on the Dry Ice Blaster this action will shut down the E-CO
2
150 system. The system cannot be restarted until the emergency stop on the Dry Ice Blaster is reset.
