ACCELERATOR AND BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLIES Accelerator Pedal – From Late 2010 Model Year

Use 1/4-turn adjustments, and check the RPM setting after each adjustment.
ACCELERATOR PEDAL – FROM LATE 2010 MODEL YEAR
See General Warnings, Section 1, Page 1-2.
ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL – FROM LATE 2010 MODEL YEAR
1. Disconnect battery and spark plug wire(s). See Disconnecting the Battery – Gasoline/Diesel Vehicles,
Section 1, Page 1-3.
2. Disconnect the Z-shaped end of the accelerator cable from the pedal (Figure 5-4, Page 5-3) .

3. Remove the pedal pivot bolt (1) and locknut (2) that secures the pedal assembly to the chassis (Figure 5-5,
Page 5-3) .
4. Remove the pedal assembly from the return spring pullrod (3). Loosen spring retaining nut if necessary.
5. Remove hardware (4) securing the front differential limit switch (5) to the pedal.
6. Inspect the pedal bushings (6) for wear and replace if worn.
ACCELERATOR PEDAL INSTALLATION – FROM LATE 2010 MODEL YEAR
1. Installation is reverse of removal procedure.
2. Check return spring length and adjust if necessary (Figure 5-6, Page 5-4) .
