Crotch Strap Adjustment
Step 1
Remove the Seat Cushion. See “Removing/
Installing Seat Cushion” on page 83.
Step 2
Check position of Crotch Strap:
Rear-Facing: Adjust the Crotch Strap to
the inner Crotch Strap Slot as shown in
Figure 22a.
Forward-Facing: Adjust the Crotch Strap
to the outer Crotch Strap Slot and the
longer Crotch Strap length, as shown in
Figure 22b.
IMPORTANT: If installing Forward-Facing
with a vehicle belt without the Top Tether,
and with children under 40lb (18.1 kg),
the Crotch Strap must be through the
inner Crotch Strap Slot.
TO MOVE THE CROTCH STRAP FROM ONE
POSITION TO THE OTHER:
• Slide the belt to one side of the Crotch
Strap Slot and push the edge of the
belt into the adjustment slot as shown in
Figure 23 .
